Get to know about the answer key of Joint Entrance Examination from this article.


If you have taken the Joint Entrance Examination, then you must be wondering about the status of its answer key. The answer key of this examination is released by the National Testing Agency. The authority will be making the JEE MAIN answer key 2020 available 3 days after the conduct of the examination. After you check the answer key and qualify the result too, you will have to attend the counseling session. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority holds the authorization for conducting the counselling of Joint Entrance Examination. When you are going for the counselling session, just make sure that you are carrying the documents that are mandatory.

In order to attend the counselling session, you will have to get registered. The process of registration shall be conducted on the official website of the authority that reserve the right of holding the counselling session. The session of counselling will be done in either online or offline manner. After registration, you will have to lock and fill your choices of the college and course you wish to pursue. While doing the same, you will have to be very careful as it will not be changed afterwards.


Counselling

Around 100 institutes shall be participating in the process of the counselling process of Joint Entrance Examination. The process of the Joint Entrance Examination will be conducted in 3 parts-JoSAA, CSAB SFTI and CSAB NEUT. The procedure of JoSAA will be conducted for the candidates who qualify the JEE MAIN and JEE Advanced. The CSAB SFTI procedure of the counselling process will be conducted by the Central Seat Allocation Board for 17 Self-Financed Technical Institutions. CSAB NEUT is conducted for the supernumary seats in the North Eastern states and the Union Territories.

Seat Allocation

The procedure of the seat allocation is based upon the merit and the choices that you make while the process of JoSAA and CSAB. After the JoSAA allotment has been done, the counselling session of CSAB will take place. If the authority rejects your allotted seat, you will not be able to participate in the further counselling process.

Seat Matrix

Many institutes will be participating in the procedure of the counselling session of Joint Entrance Examination. You will be allotted seats on the basis of the seats the institutes provide. The distribution of the seats in the counselling procedure is known as the seat matrix. The seat matrix in the counselling procedure of Joint Entrance Examination is the following way:

  • The Institute of Information Technology (IIT), which is one of the most renowned institutes in India, provides 4023 seats in which the candidates can take admission, if they wish to do so. 
  • The other institute is the National Institute of Technology (NITs). It provides the most number of seats to its applicants. The number of seats, which NITs serve is 17967. 
  • There are many government funded technical institutes that take part in the counselling procedure of the Joint Entrance Examination. The number of seats, that it serve is 4683. 

Procedure of Counselling Session

If you qualify the examination of Joint Entrance, just make sure to attend the counselling session. In order to attend the same, you will have to complete all the specified procedures. The procedure of the counselling session are mentioned below:

You must note a fact that while going for the counseling session, you will have to carry some documents which will be required there for the procedure of the document verification. The list below elucidates about the documents which will be required at the time of the counselling session:

It provides the different courses of Engineering to the candidates who wish to pursue their further degree from this institute.
